Also known as diisobutylene sulfide and dihydrocarbyl pentasulfide. It is a highly active, light-colored, and nearly odorless sulfur carrier that is well soluble in most types of base oils. Due to its extremely high sulfur activity, it is an excellent choice for manufacturing metalworking fluids suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty metal removal and metal forming processes. It is also an outstanding replacement for chlorinated paraffins.
Features
-High active sulfur content
-Excellent anti-wear ability under extreme pressure
-Good oil solubility
-High thermal Stability
-Good compatibility with other additives
Packaging and Storage
Packaging:Available in 200-L steel drums, 1000-L IBC containers.
Storage:Store in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse at ambient temperature, protected from light (especially when using transparent or semi-transparent containers). The product may also be stored in large-capacity, dry, clean metal containers with nitrogen blanketing.

1.A mixture consisting of 5% (m/m) sulfurized olefin (D) and 95% (m/m) base oil shall be stirred at ambient temperature (20 °C) until fully homogeneous. The resulting blend shall appear visually clear and free fromany visible sediment or phase separation. 2. The sulfur content shall be determined in accordance with GB/T17040; alternatively, other validated analytical methods may be used. 3. Copper strip corrosion: evaluated at an additive treat rate of 2% in 98% base oil, conducted at 100 °C for a duration of 3 hours. | |||
